It is with broken hearts and profound sadness that we share the unimaginable loss of our dear friend and colleague, Justin James Roettger, known lovingly by all of us as “Jrock.”

Jrock was not just a team member — he was the heartbeat of our community and a true pillar of The Crofoot family. To walk through our doors and experience one of our events — whether a concert, wedding, or special gathering — was, in some way, to feel his presence. He was woven into the very fabric of this place. His contributions weren’t just in what he did, but in the spirit, warmth, and soul he brought to it all.

From offering tours to engaged couples and mixing handcrafted cocktails with flair, to sharing his infectious laughter and lending a helping hand without hesitation, Jrock embodied what it means to serve with heart. He never did things halfway. He showed up—fully, consistently, and wholeheartedly. His pride in his work was never for applause; it stemmed from the genuine joy he found in lifting others up and making people feel welcome, valued, and at home.

He was a storyteller, a listener, a quiet protector of those around him. He was the first to notice if someone needed support, and the first to offer it—without question, without ego. His kindness was effortless, and his sense of justice fierce. Jrock stood for what was right, always. He believed deeply in equity, inclusion, and compassion.
