Anne Curley was the beloved daughter of the late John and Mary Curley from Cappamore, Clonown, Athlone. Anne was predeceased by several of her siblings, including brothers Fr. James, John-Joseph, Mike, Fr. Paddy, Fr. Tom, and Harry, as well as sisters Rita, Mae, and Kay. This profound family history highlights a life surrounded by strong bonds and cherished relationships, which remain an important part of her memory.

Her absence will be deeply felt by her loving nephews and nieces, including James Curley and the O’Rourke family—comprising Ita, Anne, John, Hughie, James, Laurence, Tony, and Tom. The wider circle of grand nephews, grand nieces, cousins, relatives, and friends also join in mourning, reflecting on the lasting impression Anne left on so many lives.

Anne’s peaceful repose is being held at Carpenter Bros Funeral Home in Shamrock Square, Carlow. The family welcomes those wishing to pay their respects on Sunday, July 20th, from 6 p.m., with prayers concluding the evening at 8 p.m. These moments offer the community a chance to come together in shared remembrance and support.

The following morning, on Monday, the removal will take place at 9:45 a.m., proceeding to the Cathedral of the Assumption, Carlow. A Funeral Mass will be celebrated at 10 a.m., honoring Anne’s life and her deep faith. Afterwards, the burial will take place at Clonown Cemetery in Athlone, Co Westmeath, where she will rest among her loved ones.

The family has requested that only flowers from close relatives be sent, and they invite donations, if desired, to the Missions. This reflects Anne’s spirit of giving and the importance she placed on helping others throughout her life.
